VoIP Solution - What
is VoIP?
Voice over
IP (also called VoIP, IP Telephony, and Internet telephony) refers
to technology that enables routing of voice conversations over
the Internet or any other IP network. The voice data flows over
a general-purpose packet-switched network, instead of the traditional
dedicated, circuit-switched voice transmission lines. VoIP uses the internet
to
make the call, rather than calling via
the standard communications systems. In the past
slow dialup speeds hindered the development
of VoIP. Now,
with more people signing on to the internet via high speed
DSL / Cable connections - the call quality via VoIP has been greatly
improved. |
